                                      Panel 1: Engaging Communities
                                      - Refocusing on rural areas
                                      - With/without security: civil/military relations and establishing trust
                                      - Community hubs of health and education
                                      - What is working and what isn’t?
                                      - Failure of justice plus lack of trust: 30 year perspective
                                      - Practical steps for everyday justice
                                      - Remedying corruption among Afghan and international players, including: Judges, police, military, government, private military contractors, etc.

                                      - Economics and agriculture - Trade

                                             At the end of each day, the participants will divide into small groups that will produce pragmatic suggestions for moving forward. Presentation of these insights will take place at the conclusion of the brainstorming. A more detailed ‘action’ report will be produced and distributed in response to the recommendations raised by the meeting. The report will include the initial five commissioned articles, notes from the sessions, the actions that result from each breakout session, as well as further information. This report will be distributed freely to attending organizations as well as non-attendee organizations and governments.
